    A thrilling 33-22 win for Quins in their first game of the season. Being down 10-nil after just 4 minutes with Boroondara scoring 2 quick tries, Quins fought back to be down only 13-17 at the half after an opportunist try to Mic Iosefo. With a substantial wind in the 2nd half, Quins applied patient pressure and solid defence to skip away to a 33-22 win. Player of the day was young openside flanker TJ Lavea followed by veteran Niko Lauina.
